What do you do for IFM?
I work primarily with the creation of the medical curriculum, support our development teams and faculty, and promote the integration of functional medicine in both conventional and CAM practice settings.

What do you love most about your job with IFM?
This job makes me feel like I am truly making a difference in transforming the medical care system though educational programs that shift the way practitioners think about the causes of disease and seek effective solutions. The staff and faculty have the same passion as I do; they live their medicine, and love to see patients heal on a deeper level.

IFM partners would most likely know you because…
I am involved in our AFMCP program, the Functional Nutrition Course, the Detoxification Module, the Cardiovascular Module, and the pending Energy Module both as an educator and facilitator of the programs.

What are your personal interests outside of work?
Whenever I have the chance, I spend all my free time with my husband Charles and our four kids. We enjoy the outdoors and are just figuring out how to bring our little ones into our activities as they are getting old enough. I wish I had more interests outside of work, but all of my additional projects that I contract out to do involve functional and lifestyle medicine in some way.

What would IFM partners be surprised to learn about you?
I enjoy traveling and am working to facilitate the introduction of functional medicine into South Africa.
